Former Vice President Atiku Abubakar have filed an appeal at the supreme court.
The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) candidate at the 2023 presidential election has challenged the verdict of the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal, which had earlier dismissed its petition against President Bola Tinubu.
The Tribunal’s decision, announced on September 6, came as a blow to Atiku’s hopes. It ruled that he couldn’t provide sufficient evidence to support his claims of irregularities, corrupt practices, and violations of electoral laws during the presidential election.

Now, Atiku and the PDP are turning to the Supreme Court with their appeal. Their primary request is to overturn the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal’s judgment and declare Atiku the rightful winner of the presidential election held on February 25. They’ve also put forward other requests for the court’s consideration.
