President Muhammadu Buhari has disclosed that his preferred successor in the 2023 presidential election might be killed if he names him.
Buhari said this during an exclusive interview with Channels Television on Wednesday.

Asked if he has a favourite among those eyeing the presidency within his party in 2023, Buhari said he would rather keep the name of the person to himself, saying he may be eliminated before 2023.
When pressed further on if he has a favourite candidate in his party (APC), the president said “No, I wouldn’t because he may be eliminated if I mentioned, I’d better keep it secret.”
