Vice President Yemi Osinbajo, SAN, has publicly endorsed Nigerian Chef, Hilda Baci, 27 as she attempts to break the Guinness World Record for the longest cooking time.
In her bid to achieve the record, the 27-year-old on Thursday began a four-day ‘cook-a-thon’ at Amore Gardens, Lekki, Lagos State.
Osinbajo, a well-known supporter of young Nigerians, placed a call to drum support during an Instagram live video on Sunday, when he commended her efforts and offered support in what many described as a massive boost for her efforts to break the record.
Hilda is on the verge of breaking the world’s longest cooking time record held by Lata Tondon who completed the task in 87 hours, 45 minutes, and 00 secs in Rewa, India in 2019.
The chef has exceeded 70 hours of cooking, as of the time of filing in this report.
Recall that Hilda announced in an Instagram post on April 2nd that she was going to make her five-year-long dream a reality.
Osinbajo’s call to Hilda seems to have boosted the 27-year-old’s confidence to go all out to break the record.
Hilda posted this on her official IG page and thanked the Vice President.
An IG user said: “This is a kind of motivation that can help her achieve this great record. @profosinbajo we love you for constantly supporting us.”
