The Ibadan Electricity Distribution Company has pleaded with the Sango-Ota customers in Ogun State, to promptly pay up their debts, so as to enable the power company provide them with quality services.
This was disclosed by Mrs Busolami Tunwase, the Lead Media Relations, IBEDC, who made the appeal on Monday in Ota, Ogun State.
According to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN), Tunwase stated at a stakeholders meeting on October 11 at Joju, Ota, that the Sango/Ota district business owed the company a total of N28 billion.
She said, “We are still appealing to our esteemed customers to urgently pay their bills because what we have gotten is not much compared to what is still out there.”
Quest Times further reports that the company’s spokesperson said customers should pay their debts to enable the company provide the public with an improved and stable power supply.
Tunwase sternly warned the public against assaulting IBEDC workers while discharging their duties, noting that anyone one found guilty, would face the wrath of the law.
