A High Court sitting in Ondo on Friday, sentenced three out of four suspected killers of the 58-year-old daughter of Pa Reuben Fasoranti, the national leader of the Pan Yoruba Socio-Political Group, Mrs Funke Olakunri to death by hanging.
They include Muhammed Shehu Usman, Adamu Adamu,and Lawal Mazaje.

Recall that the police also alleged that the suspects also murdered one Ogunbiyi Matthew aged 65 and also kidnapped one Gerald Igboayaka the same day Funke Olakunri was murdered along Ore/ ljebu Ode Expressway on July 12th, 2019.

According to Vanguard, the three suspects were convicted by Justice Williams Olamide for conspiracy to murder, kidnapping and armed robbery.
The judgement came three years after the killing and trials of the arrested suspects by the government.
Mrs Olakunrin was travelling from Akure to Lagos after visiting her father, when the gunmen struck and killed her on the Ore federal highway on July 12, 2019.
Her gruesome death had attracted a wide range of condemnation from Nigerians, including political and social groups.
