The National Executive Committee (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has officially confirmed Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, the former Governor of Kano state, as the National Chairman of the party.
This decision was reached during NEC’s 12th meeting in Abuja on Thursday. Additionally, Senator Basiru Ajibola has been appointed as the National Secretary of the party.
Former National Vice Chairman (NorthWest) Muhammad Salihu Lukman earlier warned that Ganduje’s emergence as Chairman will set the party on a path to destruction.

In a statement he released, he warned “If the scheming to have Dr Ganduje emerge as the next national chairman of APC succeeds with all the legal and moral questions, as a party, we would have set the stage for the destruction of our party and God forbids, we would have laid the foundation that will make President Asiwaju Tinubu and all our elected representatives unpopular.”
