President-elect Bola Tinubu was quick to dispel rumours that he’s been tending to his health abroad, after landing in Abuja, Nigeria’s capital city on Monday, April 24.
Speculations and rumours continue to swirl over Tinubu’s health.
However, speaking before party supporters and well wishers who had thronged the airport and his home to welcome him back home, Tinubu rhetorically asked the audience if he looked ill and joked about how one of the inquirers was now looking at his (Tinubu’s) chubby frame with some jealousy.
“After a long flight, I’d eat some amala or tuwo. After that, sleep a little and then tomorrow we meet,” Tinubu said.
“I’m happy to be back. I have rested, I’m refreshed and I’m ready for the task ahead.

“Forget about what the rumour mill may have told you. I’m strong, very strong. Whatever they like, they should speculate. I’m healthy and sound and I’m okay,” Tinubu reiterated.
