The Department of State Services (DSS) has called for calm in the aftermath of elevated terror attack warnings by the U.S. and U.K. embassies in Nigeria.
The Quest Times reports that the U.S. Embassy in a statement on Sunday, October 23, 2022, warned of possible terror attacks especially in Abuja, shutting down its Embassy operations till further notice, while their British counterparts in a different statement warned staff against sending their children to school on Monday, October 24, 2022, while stating that business will be open only for critical staff.
In a response to the terror warnings, the DSS in a statement signed by its spokesman, Dr Peter Afunanya, stated that the agency had in the past issued such warnings, calling Nigerians to assist with useful information.
