The Department of State Services, Nigeria secret police, has reportedly invited two siblings of the suspended chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Abdulrasheed Bawa for interrogation.
We gathered that the secret police seized a bulletproof car and latest Mercedes-Benz allegedly found with the brothers, Yazid Bawa (who also works at EFCC) and Bashir Bawa (who works at the Nigerian Communications Commission), when invited.

The DSS operatives also grilled the chief of staff to the suspended EFCC chairman, Hadiza Gamawa, alongside his legal adviser, U. U. Buhari.
On August 25th, the suspects were reportedly detained and released a few days later. Also, on August 31st, SSS operatives arrested Mr. Bawa’s personal assistants, Rufai Zaki and Daniela Jimoh.
Recall, that President Bola Tinubu on June 14th, had suspended the EFCC chairman, Bawa, indefinitely.
The government had said his suspension was to allow for a thorough investigation into his conduct while in office, following “weighty allegations” of abuse of office levelled against him.
