The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has confirmed the death of its operative, Inspector Abel Isah Dickson, attached to the Sokoto command of the commission.
It was learnt that the Inspector died from the injuries sustained during a scuffle that involved three personnel of the commission.
The spokesman of the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, who made this known in a press briefing on Tuesday morning, said the two suspects have been arrested and handed over to the police.
He affirmed that the incident happened on May 5, 2023 and the victim was confirmed dead on May 7 at Usman Danfodio University Teaching Hospital in Sokoto.
The young officers were said to be involved in the scuffle following the disagreement on the custody of items, according to the officials of the anti-graft agency who were familiar with the matter.
