Controversial rapper and entrepreneur Kanye West, has taken legal action against sportswear manufacturing giant Adidas.
The lawsuit stems from Adidas’ plan to sell the remaining Yeezy shoes owned by Kanye West, and donate the proceeds to charity.
In response to Adidas severing ties with him last year due to a series of anti-Semitic remarks, the talented lyricist has filed a lawsuit seeking to trademark Yeezy sock shoes.
TMZ reports that on May 4, the 45-year-old rapper submitted documents through his company, Mascotte Holdings Inc. The product was listed as ‘YZY SOCK SHOES.’
Although the filed forms lack extensive information about the appearance of the sock shoes, they were described as ‘Socks; socks with leather soles.’
