A sense of anticipation fills the air as the Lagos State Governorship Election Petition Tribunal prepares to deliver it’s verdict today.
Justice Arum Ashom is leading this tribunal, and the petition before him challenges whether Governor Sanwo-Olu’s election win should stand.
Recall that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) had declared Babajide Sanwo-Olu winner of the March 18 governorship election. His victory secured him a second term as Lagos State Governor after he garnered an impressive 762,134 votes, defeating his rivals by a significant margin.
However, Gbadebo Rhodes-Vivour of the Labour Party and Olajide Adediran (Jandor) from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), are challenging the results of the election.
