Supporters of the All Progressives Congress (APC) have gone into full panic mode after the Labour Party (LP) presidential candidate, Peter Obi, was declared winner in five of the 12 local government areas declared by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) so far.
Some of the LGA results so far show that Obi has pulled off surprise victories in key APC strongholds in the state.
QUEST TIMES investigations reveal that party members are concerned about the party’s presidential candidate, Bola Tinubu, losing the state to Obi.

A series of WhatsApp chats monitored by our correspondent reveal that party members are deeply disappointed with their losses in APC strongholds such as Somolu, Oshodi-Isolo, Ikeja, and Kosofe Local Governments.
One of the party’s supporters said “It is really a sad day in Lagos. We should reflect deeply and stop all this nonsense liberal thing we do in Lagos.
Another one said “Even if we win it in Lagos, we should just sit and reflect on what can be done for this not to happen again. 2 terms in a row”.
“People are waiting for rice and tomato paste before they vote. I pray that BAT is able to overcome int’l and local headwinds so the economy improves on all indices.,” said another party member.
One commentator said, “the church giving their members directives to vote was because the APC left them little or no option. What stake did the church or the Christian community in Nigeria have in the APC ticket? Even PDP factored this in.
“Looking at the results today, we could have fielded a Northern Christian and we would have still won the election.
“Should we also say that we the APC created an impression that we were only interested in the Muslim votes hence our ticket was Muslim/Muslim?” the APC member noted.
