Nigerians have taken to social media to blast Kogi Governor Yahaya Bello for declaring his ambitions to contest for the office of the President in next year’s elections.
Those who reacted to the development on Twitter, advised the governor to perish his ambition, saying he is not fit to lead the country.

According to them, the Kogi Governor has no moral standing to vie for the office of the president, considering his abysmal performance as Governor of North-Central Kogi State.

@Sunnybatet: “He has not finished paying salaries and fixing all the terrible roads in Kogi, it is Nigeria he wants to handle. I don’t know what spirit that always deceives these politicians”.
@ccta3: Yahaya Bello has promised Nigerians to replicate what he did in Kogi as he declares for president to succeed Buhari . The people of Kogi State must be really proud of him it seems.
@Stephaadamu: H.E Yahaya Bello your plans have failed. Tell your jazz man that he is incompetent because you are going nowhere sir.
@Zakariyya7777: Useless set of mad Nigerian youths campaigning for Yahaya Bello because of money. A man that failed woefully in 21 local governments in Kogi state deceiving u guys that he will fix the problem of 774 LGs in NigeriaSome Nigerian youths who do u guys?#YahayaBelloDeclares@nivieverest: From Godwin Emefiele to Yahaya Bello, it shows how low governance has gone in this country. People that fail in their capacity, demand bigger roles. Terrible.
@FS_Yusuf_: Even Zulum that achieved some feats despite the instability in the state, hasn’t been agitating to become the next president but a blatantly failed Gov. Yahaya Bello is making noise and bluffing to be the next president. These guys are audaciously disrespectful.
@TheNationNews: Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello, on Saturday in Abuja officially declared his intention to run for President in the 2023 general elections with a promise to tackle the country’s security challenges.
@AdajiMark1: #Yahaya Bello is the perfect example of failure and nothing more… Should the APC hand over the presidential ticket to him then Nigerians should expect him to replicate the worst of what Kogites are going through.
#YahayaBelloDeclares@corrisive9ja: CBN Governor Emefiele declaring for President as well as Yahaya Bello is proof that Buhari has bastardized this country called Nigeria. No standard anymore!. We have never had it this bad.
@RaymondNkannebe: Charlse Bukowski is probably right. The problem with the world is that the intelligent people are full of doubts, while the foolish ones are full of confidence. This is the story of Yahaya Bello and his lavish comical declaration for Nigeria’s presidency earlier in the day.
@BillionOte: I’m not surprised Yahaya Bello has declared for presidency, but what strikes me is the Kogi state governor promising to make 20 million Nigerians millionaires in 7 years. We need to know what strategy he will adopt. At best Kogi state needs it more than ever before too.
@ayrniyemzy: Who are those deceiving @OfficialGYBKogi Yahaya Bello of Kogi state to declare his intention to contest for President in 2023 with his zero development in the state?Opportunists like him do not even deserve to be in the corridors of power if not for the death of Abubakar Audu.
