In a recent development, Ondo State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu has taken the decision to relieve all media aides appointed by him and seconded to the office of the Deputy Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, of their appointments.
This decision was confirmed in an official press release titled “Government House Media Team Rejigged.”
The affected individuals include Kenneth Odusola, who served as the Press Secretary to the Governor; Okunniga Oladipupo, who held the position of Special Assistant to the Governor for New Media; and Abayomi Samson Adefolalu, the Special Assistant to the Governor responsible for Photography.

According to the press release, they have all been directed to submit any government properties in their possession to the Acting Permanent Secretary of the Office of the Deputy Governor. Furthermore, the Press Crew that was attached to the office of the Deputy Governor has been disbanded, and its members are instructed to return to their respective ministries and stations.
The Ministry of Information and Orientation has been tasked with ensuring adequate media coverage for the activities of the Deputy Governor’s office moving forward.
This decision comes in the wake of Governor Akeredolu’s recent return to Nigeria after a three-month medical leave in Germany. The shake-up in media personnel within the Deputy Governor’s office appears to be part of a broader effort to reorganize government operations in the state.
