Plateau State Governor, Caleb Mutfwang, sees the recent Appeal Court decision overturning his election as a temporary setback. He remains confident that the people’s overwhelming support will triumph, having directed his legal team to appeal to the Supreme Court.
In an official statement from his Director of Press and Public Affairs, Gyang Bere, Governor Mutfwang urged citizens and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) supporters to stay calm. He assured them that, trusting in the divine, the people’s mandate will be restored.
Emphasizing his commitment to the rule of law, Governor Mutfwang remains optimistic about the future. He stated, “As long as God remains on the throne, the mandate of the people will be preserved and protected”. Expressing unwavering faith in the judiciary and the Nigerian Constitution, he assured the public that there is hope ahead.
