Following the arrest order issued by the Inspector General of Police, Usman Baba, Nigerian singer and songwriter Seun Kuti has spoken up.
The IGP had ordered the arrest of the Afrobeat artist and launched an investigation into the assault which was caught on tape.
In response, Seun Kuti took to his Instagram story, expressing his willingness to cooperate fully with the investigation. He also prayed that the guilty party would be held accountable, emphasizing his commitment to the process.

“I welcome the investigation and will give my full cooperation! I also pray to the IG that whoever is wrong should be indicted”.
Furthermore, Seun Kuti had earlier claimed that the police officer in question had attempted to harm him and his family, asserting that he had evidence to support his claims. However, he clarified that he was not seeking attention or publicity.
Seun Kuti revealed that the police officer had apologized to him, and as a result, he had decided not to pursue legal charges. He urged others to refrain from getting involved and to consider the officer’s employment status.
“He tried to kill me and my family. I have the proof but I no dey chase clout. He has apologized and I have agreed not to press charges. Make una mind una business make the poor guy no lose his job.”
While the situation continues to unfold, Seun Kuti’s response indicates his cooperation with the investigation and his intention to handle the matter in a responsible manner.
