The Presidential Election Petitions Tribunal (PEPT) has rejected the statements from 10 out of 13 people who spoke on behalf of the Labour Party (LP) in the ongoing case challenging President Bola Tinubu’s election.
These individuals, who were either called to testify or considered professional witnesses, were deemed “incompetent.” The PEPT ruled that their statements held no value.
Justice Tsammani also clarified that individuals 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, and 13, who were subpoenaed by LP, were not recognized as court witnesses. He pointed out that their statements were submitted after the designated deadline.
