An unspecified number of construction workers are reportedly trapped in the Yaba area of mainland Lagos on Saturday, February 12, 2022, following the collapse of a three-storey building.

The building, said to be under construction at the time of the collapse, is located at 16 Akanbi Crescent, off Adesina Street, Harvey, Sabo Yaba, a short distance from the main entrance of the University of Lagos (UNILAG).

Eyewitness accounts said the construction workers were at their various duty posts when the building collapsed on them.
