The Yaba College of Technology (YABATECH) has clarified that its part-time lectures are fully operational and have not been suspended, contrary to recent rumours circulating in the media that the Academic Staff Union of Polytechnic (ASUP), YABATECH Chapter, has suspended lectures.
The Deputy Registrar of the school, Mr Joe Ejiofor, dismissed the rumour in an interview with the News Agency of Nigeria on Tuesday in Lagos.
Ejiofor clarified, “There is no iota of truth in the news flying around that the college has suspended all part-time activities.
The institution aims to dispel any confusion or concerns among its part-time students and reassure them of the continuity of their educational programs. YABATECH remains committed to providing quality education to both full-time and part-time students, and the recent speculations regarding the suspension of part-time lectures are unfounded.
YABATECH’s affirmation of the uninterrupted operation of part-time lectures highlights its commitment to maintaining academic stability and meeting the educational needs of its diverse student body. Part-time programs play a crucial role in accommodating students who juggle work or other responsibilities alongside their studies. By ensuring the smooth functioning of part-time lectures, YABATECH recognizes the importance of providing flexible learning opportunities and supporting the aspirations of a wider range of students.
“The calendar for 2021/2022 ended last week with the conclusion of the 2nd-semester examination and 2022/2023 is expected to commence in a couple of weeks,“ Ejiofor further informed.
