Sen. Godswill Akpabio, one of the leading contenders for the Senate Presidency, arrived at the National Assembly’s grounds on Tuesday with more than 70 senators-elect, less than two hours before the red chamber’s inaugural session begins.
Akpabio who is aspiring for Senate President arrived at NASS Building at 6:30 am ahead of the 10th National Assembly inauguration.
The Quest Times had reported that the former Senate Minority Leader and Senator Jibrin Barau from Kano in North West were endorsed by All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership for Senate President and Deputy Senate President.
