Numerous supporters of the All Progressives Congress, APC, have taken to microblogging platform, Twitter, to express their rejection of former President Goodluck Jonathan seeking to contest the party’s presidential ticket.
The party’s supporters took to Twitter to trend the hashtag, #APCRejectGEJ, to state their total rejection of the former president joining the party.

According to the party members, allowing the former president to join the APC portends danger for the party.
Some of them said Jonathan has been behind several crises that have rocked the People’s Democratic Party, PDP, under which Jonathan became president.
The party supporters say if party leaders go ahead with the plan to force Jonathan on them, the APC should forget about winning the 2023 presidential election.

They described the former president as corrupt and a bad leader.
