The Vice Presidential candidate of Labour Party, LP, Senator Yusuf Datti Baba-Ahmed, has called on the authorities to expedite action aimed at paving the way for Nigerians living abroad to participate in the electoral process of the country come 2023.
The Labour Party VP candidate also claimed that the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) and its candidate, Bola Tinubu, are afraid of losing the election hence the reason for not pushing for the legislation to allow Nigerians in the diaspora to vote.
Mr Baba-Ahmed made the assertion during the Public Unveiling of Clean Up Nigeria, a programme created for the productive and collaborative engagement of OBIdients & other Nigerians on social issues, which was monitored by Quest Times on Sunday.

He, therefore, promised to keep pushing for the call to allow diaspora Nigerians the opportunity to vote in 2023 and beyond, adding that “it will help reform Nigeria’s electoral system should it be considered”..
Meanwhile, the Miyetti Allah group has charged Fulanis in Nigeria not to vote for the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi in the 2023 general elections.
According to the group, “Peter Obi represents Biafran interest and should not be voted in 2023”.
