Popular gospel music minister, Frank Edwards, has named the Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, as his preferred candidate ahead of the 2023 general elections.
This comes barely a week after skit-maker Adebowale Adedayo, popularly called Mr. Macaroni, endorsed Peter Obi for president.
The singer, in a tweet on his verified Twitter handle, asserted that no matter what may be the outcome of the election, he would happily cast his vote for the former Anambra governor.
“At this point clearly and carefully I will vote for Peter Obi. No matter what happens at least I’ll be sure I tried to put my thumb of support in salvaging Nigeria.
“If at this point people are already dodging events! What are we still talking about!!! Abeg Abeg,” he tweeted.
Quest Times understands that Afenifere, a socio-cultural organisation for the Yoruba people of Nigeria, had also declared its support for the Labour Party presidential candidate, a development that has led to heated debates between the pro-Adebanjo and pro-Fasoranti disciples in recent days.Â
