Several Nigerian groups have called on Senate President, Senator Ahmad Lawan, to shelve his presidential ambition. They say the Senator has proven to be a bad leader.
This was contained in a press conference by Arewa Development Agenda (ADA) in Abuja today.
The group said Senator Lawan should put away his presidential ambition for a more qualified candidate.

The group says the North has not benefitted anything substantial from his being the Senate President.

Also, Nigerians took to the microblogging platform, Twitter, to register their displeasure at Lawan’s presidential ambition.
In several tweets under the hashtag, #NoToAhmedLawan, Nigerians said there is nothing to show that the Senate President has what it takes to lead the nation.
