Ahead of the 2023 general elections, former President Olusegun Obasanjo, on Thursday, met with the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi; and Rivers State Governor, Nyesom Wike, among others, in London.
The group also met discreetly with PDP Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar.
Although details of the meetings were still sketchy as of the time of filing this report, it was gathered that this is all part of negotiations and horse-trading ahead of the 2023 presidential election.
Wike attended the meetings with his allies which included Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State; Governor Samuel Ortom of Benue State; Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State and former Cross River State Governor, Donald Duke, among others.
Wike has been bitter since he lost the PDP presidential primary election ticket to Atiku Abubakar.
