People trooped out in their numbers in the Oyo town, Oyo state to welcome the Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo (SAN) who was in town to pay his condolence to late Alaafin Oba Lamidi Adeyemi III.
The people trooped out en masse in their traditional attaire to drum support for the highly revered Vice President as he moved to the Alaafin’s Palace.
While the Vice President was in his motorcade, people were heard in loud voices saying “Osinbajo we love you” “Osinbajo, we are happy to see you”.

While Osinbajo’s motorcade was about to move, the voice of the Yoruba-speaking residents grew louder with many calling on him to heed to the people’s call to contest the 2023 presidential election.
Several of the residents say they have benefited from several initiatives of the Vice President including schemes like MSME Clinics, Tech Hubs, N-Power etc.
One resident, Dipo, a farmer, said “Since I have been living here over 30 years ago, I’ve never seen people troop out to welcome any public office like the Osinbajo. He’s a man of the masses.”
