Singer Ozonna, the son of Anambra State Governor, Charles Chukwuma Soludo, has distanced himself from his father’s comments on the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi.
Quest Times earlier reported that Soludo, in recent days, has been bashing Obi’s governance records in Anambra and even dismissed his chances of pulling an upset in the 2023 presidential poll.
According to Soludo, Obi won’t even come third in an election that has seen him go head-to-head in opinion polls with front-runners Bola Tinubu of the APC and Atiku Abubakar of the PDP.
“Indeed, there is no credible pathway for him near the first two positions, and if care is not taken, he (Peter Obi) won’t even near the third position. Analysts tell him you don’t need “structure” to win. Fantasy!” Soludo said.
Following the comments by his father, Ozonna has been dragged by some social media users into the fray and he responded to the criticism.
The musician in a Facebook post said; “I would appreciate not being dragged into this. I am not an extension of anybody, I have my own opinions and have always said I think Peter is the best candidate. All this has nothing to do with me.”
