Gun-bearing bandits have killed six people, injured seven, while kidnapping at least 12 victims in brutal attacks at Kurutu Community, in Kachia Council of Kaduna State over the weekend.
It was learnt that the terrorists in army uniforms stormed the community market killed and abducted women and a baby among others.

An eyewitness told journalists that the community is yet to fully account for the number of people missing. The incident occurred at the village near Kateri along Abuja-Kaduna expressway.
“A man said his wife was kidnapped with a baby. Immediately it happened, they called me, because I reside in Kateri. I did not waste time, I called the chief of Kachia and he said he had reported the matter to the police and army, but that none of them showed up,” he said.
In a related incident, at least four traders were killed in Jibia Council of Katsina State.
Jibia, is a border town with Niger Republic, and about 45 kilometres from the state capital.
The traders, who were from Zandam village, were going to a market close to the headquarters of the council when they ran into the terrorists.

The state’s Police Command Spokesman, SP Gambo Isah, who confirmed the incident, said the terrorists shot at five traders, but four were killed, while the remaining one sustained injuries.
Isah said the trader, who sustained injury, was immediately moved to a hospital in Katsina where medical attention was being given to him.
