In a firm response to the recent attack on the Federal University Gusau that resulted in the abduction of students, Governor Dauda Lawal has expressed his unequivocal condemnation of the heinous incident.
As previously reported by Quest Times, armed assailants targeted the Sabon-Gida community within the Bungudu Local Government Area, where they kidnapped approximately 24 students from the university.
In a statement released on Sunday, Governor Lawal utilized his social media platform (formerly Twitter) to characterize the attack as “cowardly.”

He also issued a resounding call to all security agencies, urging them to take swift action in order to rescue the remaining students who are still in captivity.
He stated, “I’m deeply saddened by the recent cowardly attacks by armed bandits at Sabon Gida village where some residents and School girls were kidnapped”.
“We immediately mobilized security agents who succeeded in rescuing some of the victims and are still in hot pursuit of the criminals through land and air.”
“I’ve been in constant engagement with our security heads in the State and other stakeholders to ensure the safe return of all other victims and quickly neutralize the situation In Shaa Allah.”
Gov. Lawal gave his assurance that the students would be safely rescued and reunite them with their families.
