The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) has described some media reports of it suspending its 2023 political campaigns as “a big fat lie”.
This was made known on Thursday by Paul Ibe, the media adviser to the party’s presidential candidate, Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, today on Twitter.
Some media organisations [not QUEST TIMES] had reported that the party was suspending its campaigns. Ibe has described the reports as rumours perpetrated by agents of mischief.
According to the reports, the PDP was suspending its campaigns over the reported rift between its presidential candidate and some governors.
He said the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) was behind the reports because it was yet to start any presidential rally.
He said the APC should start campaigning so that it has “less time for mischief,” he tweeted.
He wrote on his verified Twitter account “This is a big, fat lie. PDP has not suspended its campaign. Kaduna rally is holding on Monday as scheduled. This is APC mischief. The earlier the ruling party commences its own campaign, the better, so that it has less time for mischief.”
