Adunni Ade, a Nollywood actress, has expressed concern about threats to her safety made by Koko Zaria, a self-proclaimed American boy and NURTW boss affiliated with MC Oluomo.
During an Instagram live session, the actress played a YouTube video in which Koko Zaria threatened to teach her a lesson if they crossed paths, claiming that he would make her regret any negative remarks she made about him.
He said in Yoruba, “If I say something against you, you would kill yourself. The two of you (referring to Adunni and Kemi Afolabi), should come and meet me at station. If I get you, you will know, we would teach you a lesson”.
Adunni Ade previously claimed that Yoruba actors were paid N90,000 to campaign for Tinubu, which he categorically denied. Koko Zaria, on the other hand, claimed that his love for MC Oluomo, regarded as the godfather of the Yoruba industry, drove him to support Tinubu.
In response to Koko Zaria’s threat, Adunni Ade urged the Nigerian and US governments to hold him accountable for any harm done to her life.
She revealed that she had consulted with the US Consulate and sent a message to her lawyers and appropriate channels in Lagos about the threat. She also urged her followers to hold Koko Zaria accountable if anything happened to her, emphasizing that his online allegation and threat against her life were a direct result of her post.
“Hello everybody, I am waiting for a lot of people to join this live cause I wouldn’t be staying long.I got this message probably 30mins ago and in the 30min u have called the US Consulate to inform them of what happened,” she said.
“I have sent a email to that effect and I have informed my lawyer and to appropriate channels here in Lagos.
“I want to make it known that if anything happens, please hold Koko Zaria accountable for it. Because of the post I made, he went online to make an allegation as well as to make a threat to my life”.
Despite the seriousness of the situation, Adunni Ade maintained a calm and sober tone throughout her live session.
