Google on Thursday, revealed the top search trends on its search engine for the year 2022 as Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON), Singer Oxlade and Peter Obi among others made the top searches.
The eight-month long strike of the Academic Staff Union of Universities, was also a top search query during the year, as revealed in an annual report by Google.
Other top searches include iPhone 14, NATO, Buga, Ukraine, World Cup and Asake.
On the Most Searched People aspect of the report, singer Oxlade got the number one spot.
Quest Times recalls that Oxlade trended for weeks over his leaked sex tape that rocked the Internet.
On the heels of the singer was the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi who has been making headlines since his declaration for president.
Other personalities on the Most Searched category are Asake, Black Sheriff, Casemiro, Vladimir Putin, Lisandro Martinez, Antony, Gabriel Jesus and Raphinha.
