In Akande’s words, “The idea behind the program is to bring to the fore the kind of information that will be useful generally for the public interest.
“You’ve heard the saying that information is power, and then one of the most significant things that came out in terms of communication and narratives in the last presidential election was when the now president said that power is not served a la carte. He went all out to get the power, he did a diligent job.
“Now the same thing, the power that we say is for the people has to be diligent in the way that it is presented and procured. So we need to give information to the people, otherwise people will not have the power.
“So Inside Sources is going to give the people information that will make people powerful and that will ultimately serve the public interest better.
‘Inside Sources’ is envisioned as a platform that empowers the public by providing them with valuable information, fostering a more informed and engaged citizenry. Akande expressed his commitment to delivering content that not only informs but also serves the broader public interest.
As the show debuts on Channels TV, audiences can anticipate a thoughtful exploration of topics and issues that impact the nation, with insights from Akande’s unique vantage point as a seasoned journalist and former presidential aide. ‘Inside Sources’ is poised to contribute to the discourse on national affairs, enlightening viewers and adding a fresh perspective to the political landscape.
