Chieftains of the All Progressives Congress (APC), friends and associates of former governor of Oyo state, late Alhaji Lamidi Onaolapo Adesina, are set to honour his memory after ten years in Ibadan, the state capital.
The event is scheduled for Friday, 11th November, 2023 at Jogor Center.
Lam-Adesina who was the governor of Oyo state between 1999 and 2003, died 10 years ago.
However, Lai Olurode, a professor of sociology at the University of Lagos, is expected to deliver a lecture entitled “Ten Years After Great Lam”.
The event expected to be graced by southwest governors.
According to the organizing committee led by late former governor’s deputy, Chief Iyiola Oladokun, the event was put together to honour the memory of the late progressive leader.
“It’s been 10 years since our late leader passed on. He was leaders’ leader. He nurtured a lot of promising people to stardom. So, tomorrow we will be celebrating the life and times of this late enigma,” Oladokun added.
