The viral video of a man that was stripped naked last Thursday at the Emir of Lafia Palace, which was also insinuated and suspected to be the National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Senator Abdullahi Adamu, has been discovered to be false.
In a telephone call, the media aide of the APC National Chairman, Alhaji Nata’ala Mohammed, said those making such allegations are not honest.
A group known as A .A Sule Progressive Forum, has condemned the dastardly act.
The State Coordinator of the Forum, Jonathan Akpaho Samuel, described the incident as barbaric and uncalled-for.
He stated that Alh. Abubakar Giza (Ciroma Giza) who was seen in the video, is an elder statesman and a party stalwart who has been a very strong pillar of support to the Government of Nasarawa State.
He further stated that “Abubakar Giza is a peace loving man, hence the evil act done to him by some unscrupulous elements in the Emir of Lafia palace should not be played down but that the perpetrators of such dastardly act be identified and brought to book to serve as a deterrent to other hoodlums in the state.”
He emphasized the need for all and sundry to be security conscious at all times.
He urged security agencies to intensify efforts in apprehending the culprits.
