The President of the Court of Appeal, Justice Monica Dongban-Mensem, Monday, warned staff against compromising the processes of the election tribunal.
Justice Dongban-Mensem said anyone who violates the processes and procedures with the view to compromising the outcomes will be sacked and prosecuted.
She gave the warning at the opening ceremony of the capacity building workshop for election petition tribunal in Abuja, adding that everyone must play his or her roles seriously and pay attention to the things that affect our nation.
The 2-day workshop is themed “Challenges arising from election petition tribunals and the way forward”.
Justice Dongban-Mensem said, “There will be no sacred cows. All of us are being watched. If I comprise anything, I will also be called to order.”
She further said that the election witnesses it own short comings as the conduct of the election process may come with one or two issues and problems that affects all forms of processes.
Also, the Deputy Chief Registrar Headquarters/Election Petition Tribunal, Kabir Akanbi explained that 350 participants were drawn from the Court of Appeal staff inclusive of the Deputy Chief Registrar of various divisions.
