In a recent interview with TVC, the Senior Media Assistant to the Minister of Aviation, Michael Achimugu, brought attention to a controversial tape in which Atiku Abubakar’s daughter allegedly confessed to being involved in a financial scandal with Francis Atuche, who is currently incarcerated in Kuje prison.
Achimugu emphasized the importance of fairness, stating that those who accuse President Tinubu of forgery or corruption should also scrutinize the actions of Atiku and his associates. He questioned why Atiku’s daughter remains unscathed, despite the alleged confession, while others face legal consequences.
He said:
“I keep hearing every day how the president’s children bought houses in the US at some point, and all of that—didn’t everybody hear on tape Atiku’s daughter confessing to having stolen money from bank PHB along with Francis Atuche? Where is Atuche today? He’s in Kuje prison.
Atiku’s daughter still works free, and so because you believe that there are issues with the persons with Bola Ahmed Tinubu, I should follow you in your support of somebody else who has this type of antecedent,” Achimugu remarked.
