Spanish giants, FC Barcelona have defeated arch rivals, Real Madrid on Sunday to clinch the Super Cup in Saudi Arabia.
The match ended 3-1 in favour of the Catalonia based team.
Xavi Hernandez’s men proved to be too much for their opponent as they scored three goals to put the game pass the Madrid-based team.
Barcelona’s teenage sensation, Gavi, scored the team’s opening goal before setting up goals for Robert Lewandowski and Pedri Gonzalez, while Karim Benzema netted a late consolation for a disappointing Madrid.
This is Barcelona’s first Supercopa triumph since August 2018 and their 14th overall, the most all-time.
