Big Brother Naija (BBN) alumni, Vee Iye, recently shared insights about her break-up with Neo Akpofure, her co-housemate in the ‘Lockdown edition’ of the popular reality show.
During an interview with Stephanie Coker for her podcast, ‘Me, her and everything’, Vee stated that their separation was amicable and did not involve any dramatic events.
Vee acknowledged that their relationship was going well until things took a turn for the worse, and they mutually agreed to go their separate ways. She admitted that she was hurt by the break-up, as she did not expect it to affect her so deeply.
“My last relationship ended with…., there was no argument, there was no fight, there was nothing. It was good until it wasn’t and then we went our separate ways.
“Was I hurt for a few months? Yes. We ended on mutual terms but I didn’t expect to be that hurt even though we decided that it wasn’t going anywhere. I thought I would be able to move on quickly but it took some time,” she said.
Regarding her current love life, Vee revealed that she is currently single and that the dating pool is filled with individuals who are not genuinely interested in forming meaningful connections.
She noted that many people are hurting from their past relationships and tend to inflict pain on others.
“I am single to stupor. And the people that are single to stupor are all mad. We are all mad, hurt people hurting people. People that are still suffering from their last relationship,” she added.
Although Vee was hurt after her break-up, she has chosen to view it as a lesson and learn from it to become a better person for her next partner.
“The difference between me and a lot of men I have met is that I have decided to take it as a lesson. I learn from it and try to be a better person for the next guy,” she said.
