Nigerian rapper and Chocolate City artiste, Blaqbonez, has opened up about the significant contributions made by fellow musician Asake to his music career.
In a recent conversation with Reality star Kimoprah on Hip TV’s program, Trending, Blaqbonez revealed that Asake played a vital role in his journey to success.
Blaqbonez shared that Asake used to support him in the studio by providing background vocals before achieving his own stardom when they both were in OAU. The rapper expressed gratitude for Asake’s assistance during those early days.

Additionally, Blaqbonez revealed that he has also been friends with other artists such as Fireboy, Superboi Cheque, Yhemolee, and Zamorra since their early careers at Obafemi Awolowo University in Ife, Osun State.
He said, “I have known Fireboy, Asake, Superboi Cheque, Yhemolee, and Zamorra since OAU days.
“Zamorra and Asake have always been great at backups. You know this thing Asake does now with his vocals, he has understood this thing from time.
“So, I used to ask him to help me figure out these things. They’ve always been influential in my music journey because I feel like every phase of BlaqBonez helped build the BlaqBonez that I am now.”
