The Nigerian Federal Government has successfully tracked down Nadeem Anjarwalla, a Binance executive who fled Nigeria, to Kenya.
This development has intensified cooperation between Nigerian and Kenyan authorities to facilitate Anjarwalla’s extradition.
A collaborative effort involving the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol), and the Nigeria Police Force has been instrumental in pursuing Anjarwalla.
These agencies have been engaged in detailed discussions to expedite the extradition process and ensure that Anjarwalla faces the legal proceedings awaiting him in Nigeria.
Anjarwalla’s escape to Kenya and subsequent disappearance upon arrival had posed challenges to the investigation. However, recent developments have shed light on his whereabouts, marking a significant advancement in the case.
A source within the Presidency, speaking to Saturday Punch, disclosed, “We have found him. We know where he is. He is in Kenya, and we’re working with the authorities to bring him back to Nigeria.”
Another source, closely involved in the matter, echoed this sentiment, stating, “All hands are on deck. The government and all the security agencies are working tirelessly, in collaboration with the Kenyan authorities and Interpol, to ensure his return to Nigeria to face the charges brought against him.”
