The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board, JAMB, has released the result of the 2024 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Over 1.94 million candidates took the examination in 118 towns, spread across over 700 centers nationwide.
Professor Ishaq Oloyede, the Registrar of JAMB, disclosed the results during a press briefing convened at the board’s headquarters in Bwari, Abuja, on Monday.
The examination, which commenced on Friday, 19th April, reached its conclusion on Monday, 29th April 2024.
The board deliberated on delaying the publication of the UTME results by several days to meticulously examine them. This decision aimed to safeguard the credibility and integrity of the results, mitigating any doubts or uncertainties, particularly concerning issues like impersonation, mixed biometrics, and other forms of malpractice.
