The Kano Police Command headquarters at Bompai, Nasarawa Local Government area has been reportedly razed by fire on Saturday.
The Quest Times gathered that the fire started from the Provost’s Office and spread to Finance Department, Conference Room, PPRO Office, Assistant Commissioner (Admin) Office, Deputy Commissioner (Admin) Office, among other offices.
The State Fire Service are set to have since deployed to the scene to contain the raging fire on the one-storey building of the command.
Unconfirmed reports have it that the entire upstairs was caught up with fire except the office of the State Police Commissioner, Mamman Dauda, which is highly fortified.
“We made efforts to quench the fire from the Provost’s Office using manual process but the inferno quickly spread to other offices. The fire fighters arrived nearly 2 hours after the fire started,” a source said.
