British monarch, Queen Elizabeth II has been placed under medical supervision following concerns raised by her doctors, Buckingham Palace has revealed.
According to a statement released by the Palace, the 96-year-old monarch has not been hospitalised and remains in a comfortable condition at Balmoral Palace in Scotland, where she is currently having her summer vacation.
Excerpts from the statement read, “Following further evaluation this morning, the Queen’s doctors are concerned for Her Majesty’s health and have recommended she remain under medical supervision,”
“The Queen remains comfortable and at Balmoral.”

In reaction to the development, Queen Elizabeth’s four children, Prince Charles, Princess Anne, Prince Andrew and Prince Edward, have arrived in Scotland. Joining them are the Duchess of Cornwall and Countess of Wessex who have also travelled with their spouses. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have arrived in Aberdeen and are headed for Balmoral Palace, a palace spokesperson confirmed.

The Queen was seen in public for the first time in 47 days on Tuesday, September 6, 2022, when she appointed the newly elected leader of the Conservative Party, Liz Truss, as British Prime Minister.
Reacting to the news, British Labour leader, Sir Keir Stamer expressed worry for the Queen, “hoping for her recovery”
“Along with the rest of the country, I am deeply worried by the news from Buckingham Palace this afternoon.
“My thoughts are with Her Majesty the Queen and her family at this time, and I join everyone across the United Kingdom in hoping for her recovery,” he said.
