Following the murder of a 200-level student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, Deborah Samuel, President Muhammadu Buhari on Friday condemned the gory act.
Earlier, a mob of suspected students lynched the female Christian student for allegedly making derogatory statements about Prophet Mohammad (SAW), a development that drew the attention of the Muslim students who saw her action as blasphemous.
Reacting, President Buhari through his spokesperson, Garba Shehu, condemned the barbaric act.

“President Muhammadu Buhari strongly condemns the resort to self-help by the mob in Sokoto, resulting in violence, destruction and killing of a second year student of Shehu Shagari College of Education, Sokoto, Deborah Samuel, following an allegation that she had blasphemed Muhammad (SAW), the Prophet of Islam on Thursday,” he said.
