Recall that Davido recently released his critically acclaimed album “Timeless,” which further cemented his status as one of Africa’s leading artistes. Several tracks from the album achieved global recognition, including “Stand Strong” and “Champion Sound.”
Fans and critics have been left scratching their heads after noticing that Davido has listed himself as a nominee for the Best New Artiste category, as he has been in the spotlight for over a decade and has achieved numerous accolades, including a BET Award and an MTV Europe Music Award. Some have questioned the move, while others have defended it, arguing that Davido is still relatively new to the global music scene.
