Social media was sombre after news of the death of popular Yoruba comic actor, Kunle Adetokunbo, fondly known as “Dejo Tunfulu“ hit the Internet on Friday.
Quest Times earlier reported that Adetokunbo’s death was confirmed on Friday by several of his colleagues on their Instagram pages.
He died on Thursday night at the age of 49.

Who is Dejo Tunfulu?
Dejo Tunufulu is a prominent Nigerian actor and producer born on the 31st of May, 1972 in Idumota, Lagos Island area of Lagos, Southwest Nigeria.
Early life
Dejo was born and bred in the Idumota area of Lagos Island of Lagos State but hails from Abeokuta, the state capital of Ogun.
He did his primary education at Ansar-Ud-Deen primary school in the Lagos Island area of Lagos State and obtained his First School Leaving Certificate.
He then proceeded to Dolphin High School, Ebute Elefun, Lagos Island, Lagos State for his secondary education.
He later attended the Modern Way Nigeria School of Printing for a certificate in printing to enhance his knowledge and skill.
His acting career
He began acting in secondary school when he joined the entertainment society (a school drama club) and did some stage plays in the early 1980s.
He lived in close proximity to some notable stars like Fausat Balogun (Madam Saje) and Kayode Olasehinde (Baba Ajirebi) while growing up, and had the opportunity to receive training from them even as a boy.
A few years later, he joined Akuko Gagara Theatre Group and Kolawole International Theatre Group, he got his first television appearance in 1987 in the drama series “Apere Ijongbon” by the Kolawole International Theatre Group.
He shot into the limelight for his role in the movie titled: “Omo Oran”, featuring the veteran actor Fatai Adetayo (Lalude).
His marital life
Dejo was married to Mrs Adesola Olakunle (of blessed memory) and happily blessed with beautiful kids and grandkids. His previous marriage is made of two grown-up daughters. They are known by the surname, Sammyhat Pamilerin, and Balogun Boje.
