All the secondary and primary schools in the Federal Capital Territory have been directed to proceed on mid-term ahead of Saturday general election.
The FCT Administration (FCTA) who made this known in a circular obtained by The Quest Times, noted that the break will be effective on Wednesday, February 22.
In a circular dated February 17, the Director of Quality Assurance of the FCTA, Uzoanya M. E., said the break would run from Wednesday, February 22, to Monday, February 27.
Ebonyi State government, earlier stated that all primary and secondary schools in the State would be shut for three weeks holiday beginning on February 22, to March 15th 2023, ahead of the 2023 general election.
The Commissioner for Information and State Orientation, Barr. Uchenna Orji, who stated this while briefing newsmen on the outcome of the State Executive Council meeting, added that the decision was taken after considering the security and civic rights of the students.
