The candidature of Chief Ikechi Emenike for the office of Governor of Abia State under the All Progressives Congress (APC) received a huge boost on Thursday, following endorsement by President Muhammadu Buhari, as shown in photos sourced from the Presidential Villa.
Photos from sources inside Aso Rock show that President Buhari met with the APC governorship flagbearer in the company of his wife who is Nigeria’s Ambassador to the US, Dr Mrs Uzoma Ikechi Emenike.
According to the photos released from the meeting, besides holding talks with the Abia governorship hopeful, President Buhari held up Chief Emenike’s hands in apparent support of his candidature for the position of Governor.
The President also received a souvenir from his guests and posed for a photograph with the governorship candidate and his wife.
Despite the legal tussle surrounding the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship ticket for Abia State, Chief Ikechi Emenike seems to be making progress in his quest to occupy the coveted office of Governor in Umuahia, Abia State.
In the same vein, photos released from our source inside the Presidential Villa show President Buhari, accompanied by APC National Chairman, Alhaji Abdullahi Adamu, meeting with the party’s governorship flagbearer for the 2023 elections in Bauchi State, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar (Rtd).
Just like he did in his meeting with Chief Emenike, the President, supported by Adamu, held up the hands of Abubakar in affirmation of his candidature for the elections.
Other photos shared by our source showed the President in warm handshake with the Bauchi APC governorship candidate and a group photograph of the President flanked by Abubakar and Adamu within the confines of the President’s office.
The photos indicate the president’s support for the party’s candidates at the forthcoming elections at all levels.
